2/26/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C arrived to the home of Ben-Nita. Upon arrival to the home setting, Ben-Nita appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHP-C inquired about her day. Ben-Nita discussed with QMHP-C her day was well. QMHP-C inquired about new behaviors allotting Ben-Nita to provide QMHP-C with an update on her behaviors. Ben-Nita reported, “Me and my momma got into an argument because of my brothers will not clean up and I am not cleaning up behind them, we Arte still not getting along”. 2. Behavior: Ben-Nita contributed to the session and did need redirection from QMHP-C and her mother. Ben-Nita appeared to be a little frustrated while discussing the relationship with her mother ) parent - child relationships) as it relates to certain situations that cause the two of them to argue. 1. Intervention: QMHP-C began the session by inquiring about Ben-Nita’s current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-C continued to focus this session on building a positive parent-child relationship, managing anger, and communicating effectively. QMHP-C engaged Ben-Nita and Ms. Shabazz in a discussion to allow them to express feelings and moods regarding this session. It appeared Ms. Shabazz has several areas concerning Ben-Nita’s behavior to discuss with QMHP-C. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C identified incongruent body language with their communication. QMHP-C explained the effectiveness of addressing negative behaviors immediately. QMHP-C challenged mother to implement consistent parenting skills. QMHP-C provided supportive counseling throughout this session. 1. Response: Ben-Nita appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Cs’ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Ben-Nita and Ms. Shabazz easily engaged in this session. They both shared positive feedback regarding the topics being discussed. Ben-Nita and Ms. Shabazz lacked the ability to maintain congruent body language and verbal language. Ms. Shabazz has made several attempts to address Ben-Nita’s negative behavior immediately, due to Ms. Shabazz’s constant frustration with Ben-Nita’s behavior; she has not done so on a consistent basis. Response: Ms. Shabazz indicated to QMHP-C that when it comes to her kids, she does not play with them. She stated to the QMHP-C that she does discipline them when they are together at her house. They both recognize triggers but are unable to respond to them appropriately.
